Folsom is one of the most competitive markets in the Sacramento region- and buyers moving from the Bay Area or LA often get caught off guard by how fast homes move…

From the pirate ship to celebrate Derek’s birthday, to the glass bottom boat + epic photos by the Arch, to serving breakfast with Los Cabos Missions for Christ, to chocolate croissants and shopping with my girls, it was a whirlwind- the best kind.
And through all the chaos, I’m really grateful. Grateful for my business that lets me work while I’m away. Grateful that I could negotiate deals in between sunscreen, snacks, and meltdowns. And so grateful to my in-laws for opening their home to us and giving our girls these experiences.
Home with sandy shoes, tired kids, and a full heart. 💛

It all depends on your goals, your timeline, and your stress level…
If you want a calm season without showings or constant staging, pressing pause until mid-January is totally valid. Your peace matters. And if you don’t have urgency to sell, a short break can be a smart move.
But… if the goal is to make your home look “fresh” by relaunching in January, that strategy doesn’t always work the way sellers hope. Buyers can still see your listing history, even if days-on-market resets. Temporarily pulling the home doesn’t automatically make it “hotter.”
There are also big advantages to staying active!
Serious buyers are still out there, and with fewer homes for sale, you’re competing with a much smaller pool. Once January hits, new listings pour in and the landscape changes fast.
If you’re comfortable with a slower pace- and maybe a holiday showing or two- keeping your home active could actually put you in a stronger position.
And for my buyers…
This is your moment. 🪄🎄
Competition drops, showings dip, and opportunity shows up. If I were buying right now, I’d be writing offers during the holiday slowdown.
Whether you’re thinking about listing, relisting, waiting, or buying… I’d love to walk you through the best strategy for your situation.
